Hello, my name is Brittany, and welcome to my blog! I am a professional flutist/doctoral student living in Cincinnati, OH. I started this blog in 2012 when I moved to Beijing for a year. Living in China made me realize how much I missed cooking and baking in a real kitchen, as I only had a two burner stove (one of which was made for a wok), and no real oven. Lack of ingredients also motivated me to make everything from scratch, which I am now grateful for.

I now have a normal kitchen and a great big oven here in Cincinnati, and love trying new recipes. This blog documents my culinary adventures and motivates me to be outgoing in the kitchen and try new things. My hope is to be a contributor and active member of the food blog community, and inspire others to be fearless in the kitchen as well.
